I’m excited to participate in THE NEXT BIG THING: AUTHORS TAGGING AUTHORS! I was tagged by the amazing Becca Chopra and I’m happy to keep this going. So what I do is answer the questions below and tag a new set of authors who do the same thing, etc… I’m answering questions about my new novel, PIECE BY PIECE. It’s currently available at Amazon for pre-order and will be released mid-December.

What is the working title of your book? It was originally titled BULLYPROOFED because that was the goal, to bullyproof the reader. Then it changed to SAUCE WITHOUT PASTA because an angel told Molly that learning a lesson without a story is like eating sauce without pasta. The final title was chosen by a group of teen girls from the list of my favorites. Life is like a puzzle. We put it together PIECE BY PIECE.
Where did the idea come from for the book? The book has been brewing in my head for a long time. In recent years there have been too many teen suicides in my community plus I volunteer at a crisis center so I’ve seen first hand the challenges many families face. I’m also a mom of teenage sons. I want to help our youth find their voice, to feel confident in spite of the pressures they face daily to meet the expectations of a world that often makes them feel insecure.
What genre does your book fall under? It’s young adult fiction. My primary targets are middle school and high school teens.
Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition? Maybe Ariel Winter would make a good Molly. I’m not that familiar with young teen actors/actresses.
And for the authors I have tagged:
Scott Lesnick for his soon to be released KIDJACKED http://scottlesnick.com/blog/
Becca Chopra for CHAKRA SECRETS http://beccachopra.com/
Glenda Watson Hyatt for I’ll DO IT MYSELF http://www.doitmyselfblog.com/
Garth Stein for THE ART OF RACING IN THE RAIN http://www.garthstein.com/arr/

Hi Pablo, Sure, I’d be happy to do that. Some of my articles have appeared in a magazine in South Korea. To me, the web is about sharing as long as we source each other, right? I wrote a teen novel about bullying, suicide, judgment, and self-worth. If you’d like, I can gift you a copy of the kindle version. I think it fits your message. Thanks for the interest, Wendy
